Three different things are sold under one name: the performance, the morning training and the guided tour of the stables and hall. These 5 explain what you actually see in each, what a seat costs and how far ahead to book.
Watch the Spanish Riding School’s white Lipizzaner stallions and riders practice in Vienna’s magnificent Winter Riding Academy. The one-hour morning exercise includes classical Viennese music, relaxation work, dressage, and muscle-building exercises. Levade, courbette, and capriole are possible, but not guaranteed.

Spend 55 minutes with an English- or German-speaking guide inside Vienna’s Spanish Riding School. Visit the Baroque Winter Riding School, Summer Riding School, Stallburg stables, and tack room, while learning how Lipizzaner stallions are bred, trained, and cared for. Guides such as Natasha, Sisi, and Lorelei are known for lively, detailed talks.

From photos I saw, I had thought we'd be far back from the stalls, but we were able to be up close and personal with the stallions - no photos or touching! But able to take photos of horses in their stalls from open air courtyard there. It was a wonderful experience- highly recommend!!”
See the Spanish Riding School’s Lipizzan stallions perform the High School of Classical Horsemanship in Vienna’s Baroque Winter Riding School. Choose a 70-minute Standard Performance, a 90-minute Gala Performance, or the two-hour Tribute to Vienna. Collect your ticket before the show.
Watch Lipizzaner horses and riders perform three highlights of classical equitation in Vienna’s Baroque Winter Riding School. The 45-minute program includes classical music, live commentary, and the famous Airs above Ground. Choose standing or gallery seating, then exchange your voucher for a ticket before entering.
“This was amazing. I would say the standing seats can be difficult to see everything at times, but you get what you pay for. If you are willing to pay up a bit then I would recommend getting the seated seats. Otherwise, incredible.”
